apreet is a travel networking app that helps business travelers discover which friends, contacts, and colleagues will be in the same city or airport, based on calendar, contact, and itinerary signals. Here's the team and the story behind it.
We got together because we are fascinated by people. People make and have made the difference in our lives. We value meeting new people and engaging with the ones we already know: family, friends, and contacts. apreet is on a mission to make it easier to meet people you know, both while traveling and while at home, by helping you plan in advance whom to meet, wherever you go.
Talking to people we have not seen for a while broadens our horizons. New ideas and opportunities often develop at the fringes of our networks. We do not want you to miss any opportunity, whether it is for your business or just for the pleasure of seeing an old friend.
The name apreet is short for appreciate to meet
. It is a reminder to value the people you already know and to meet them in person, on purpose, rather than leaving it to chance. The friends and contacts you have built up over the years are worth seeing, and a trip is often the perfect reason to do it.
That belief has guided us since the beginning. apreet was founded in April 2015, and the idea has stayed the same: help you meet the people you already know, in real life, while you travel.

Daniel has been architecting apps since 2010, including some rated 4.5 stars on the App Store, with more than 5M total downloads. Co-built Europe's largest photo-rating site and community. Co-founded M-Squad, a mobile services consultancy, and MobileMonday Germany, part of a global community of mobile professionals.

Calin has been programming since the age of 12, starting with an HC 85 and a tape recorder loading BASIC games. Over the past 12+ years he has worked on many software projects, co-founded a start-up, and runs his own software studio. Passionate about programming, violin, biking, rock climbing, meditation, and being a vegetarian wannabe.
