Quick version. apreet syncs your contacts' names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, job titles and companies. It uses the numbers to find your apreet friends and the addresses to show contacts near your destinations. Names, job titles and companies tell you who someone is. apreet does not read your contact notes, does not write to your address book, and shares your contacts only with an AI assistant you connect.
What apreet uses
- Phone numbers, to identify which of your contacts are also apreet users. You are connected only when each of you has the other's number saved.
- Postal addresses, to map each contact to a city, so you can see who is near your destinations.
- Job title and company, so you recognise who a match is.
- Names, so you actually know who you are seeing.
- Email addresses, synced with the rest of each contact.
What apreet ignores, on purpose
- Notes section, never read, never transmitted. Whatever private context you keep there stays private.
- Custom fields, photos, social profiles, anniversaries, apreet does not need them and does not access them.
What apreet never does
- Writes to your address book. apreet never adds, edits, or deletes contacts.
- Sells or rents your contacts. It shares them only with an AI assistant you choose to connect, and never their numbers, emails, addresses or photos.
- Markets to your contacts. No "find your friends" mass invites. No spam.
How matching works in practice
There are two distinct things apreet can show, and they are not the same. Private destination suggestions: for any contact, apreet uses the city in their address record to map them onto your travel destinations. These are visible only to you, whether or not the contact uses apreet. A mutual itinerary match: this needs you both on apreet, trips that overlap in time and place, and each other's numbers on both phones. Only then does apreet overlay both itineraries so you each see where your paths cross.
You confirm, in the Terms of Service, that you are authorized to provide us with the phone numbers and addresses of your contacts.
Permissions and control
You grant apreet contact access via your device's permission prompt. You can revoke it at any time in your device settings. You can also delete your apreet account and all associated personal data from inside the app: Menu → My Profile → Delete Account. Or email our support team.
